हॉस्टल का खाना खाकर बीमार पड़ीं 22 छात्राएं, सेज यूनिवर्सिटी के मैनेजमेंट पर लगे गंभीर आरोप

इंदौर। मध्यप्रदेश के इंदौर में गर्मी का प्रकोप बढ़ता जा रहा है। अप्रैल के महीने में जून जैसी गर्मी पड़ने के कारण शहर में कई लोग तरह-तरह की बीमारियों की चपेट में आ रहे हैं। इंदौर के राऊ थाना क्षेत्र में मौजूद सेज यूनिवर्सिटी में पढ़ने वालीं करीब 22 छात्राएं दूषित खाना खाने के कारण बीमार पड़ गईं। छात्राएं सेज यूनिवर्सिटी में पढ़ती हैं और यूनिवर्सिटी में बने कैंपस के हॉस्टल में ही रहती हैं।

बताया जा रहा है कि बीती रात उन्होंने जब कैंपस में मौजूद हॉस्टल के कैंटीन में खाना खाया तो थोड़ी ही देर बाद उनकी हालत बिगड़ने लगी और वह बीमार पड़ गईं। जानकारी ये भी मिली है कि तबियत ज़्यादा बिगड़ने के कारण कई छात्राएं तो बेहोश भी हो गईं थी। इस पूरे मामले की जानकारी जब हॉस्टल के वॉर्डन को लगी तो उन्होंने तत्काल छात्राओं को इलाज के लिए राऊ के एक निजी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया। 9 छात्राओं को इलाज के बाद हालत में सुधार होने पर डिस्चार्ज कर दिया गया है, वहीं 13 छात्राएं अभी भी गंभीर स्थिति में अस्पताल में भर्ती हैं जिनका इलाज जारी है।

एक छात्रा के अनुसार उन्होंने देर रात हॉस्टल में खाना खाया था और जो खाना उन्होंने हॉस्टल की कैंटीन में सुबह खाया था वही खाना रात को भी हॉस्टल के प्रबंधक ने दिया। उसी दूषित खाने को खाने के थोड़ी देर बाद ही उन्हें उल्टियां और चक्कर आने लगे। वहीं हॉस्टल प्रबंधक का कहना है कि ये सभी छात्राएं बाहर खाना खाने गई थीं और उसके बाद वह बीमारी हुई हैं।

छात्राओं की हालत को देखते हुए अस्पताल प्रबंधन का कहना है कि प्राथमिक तौर पर डिहाइड्रेशन की बात सामने आई है। फिलहाल पूरे मामले की पुलिस को भी सूचना दी गई है, लेकिन पुलिस के मुताबिक अभी किसी भी छात्रा की ओर से कोई शिकायत नहीं आयी है।

सूत्रों की माने तो आने वाले दिनों में इंदौर खाद्य विभाग की टीम भी हॉस्टल में जाकर मेस में मौजूद किचन की जांच पड़ताल कर सकती है, और खाद्य विभाग संबंधित हॉस्टल के प्रबंधक के खिलाफ भी कार्रवाई कर सकता है।

झोलाछाप डॉक्टर ने तबाह की मासूम की जिंदगी, जानिए पूरा मामला

मुरैना। डॉक्टर भगवान का रूप माने जाते हैं क्योंकि एक वही हैं जो मरीज को नया जीवन देते हैं। आज कई ऐसे बिना डिग्री वाले झोलाछाप डॉक्टर हमारे आसपास घूम रहे हैं जो मरीज़ों की ज़िंदगी के साथ खिलवाड़ कर रहे हैं। खासतौर से छोटे गांव-कस्बों में इस तरह के झोलाछाप डॉक्टर खुलेआम बेखौफ घूमते हैं। ऐसे डॉक्टरों का कारोबार लगातार गांवों में फैलता ही जा रहा है। इनके द्वारा किए गए गलत इलाज के बाद मरीज का क्या होगा इन्हें इसकी ज़रा भी फिक्र नहीं होती, क्योंकि इनका मकसद सिर्फ पैसा कमाना होता है।

झोलाछाप डॉक्टर की लापरवाही का एक ऐसा ही मामला मुरैना जिले के पहाड़गढ़ ब्लॉक पंचायत के माधौगढ का है जहां एक झोलाछाप डॉक्टर ने एक मासूम की जिंदगी को तबाह कर दिया।
बता दें कि माधौगढ़ निवासी प्रीतम सिंह धाकड़ के पुत्र को एक साल पहले पेट में दर्द उठा था। बेटे के पेट में अचानक होने वाले तेज़ दर्द के कारण माता-पिता घबरा गए और घर के पास में ही प्रैक्टिस करने वाले एक झोलाछाप डॉक्टर सुनील धाकड़ के पास उसे इलाज के लिए ले गए।

सुनील धाकड़ ने बच्चे को देखकर किसी प्रकार की जांच किए बिना ही उसे इंजेक्शन लगा दिया। इंजेक्शन लगने के बाद ही बच्चे के बाएं पैर में दर्द होने लगा और देखते ही देखते पैर की सारी नसें फूल गयीं। फिर कुछ समय बाद पैर ने काम करना बंद कर दिया। इस घटना से घबराए हुए मां-बाप ने बेटे का पैर खराब होने पर उसका इलाज कराने दिल्ली ले गए।

इस घटना के बाद सारा मामला सीएमएचओ डॉ. राकेश शर्मा के सामने लाया गया, लेकिन अब तक सीएमएचओ द्वारा उस झोलाछाप डॉक्टर के खिलाफ कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की है। इस तरह के मामले आना कोई नई बात नहीं है, लेकिन प्रशासन की लापरवाही और सुस्त रैवया इस तरह के झोलाछाप डॉक्टरों को मनमर्ज़ी करने की छूट देता है।

स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री(Health Minister) डॉ. प्रभुराम चौधरी(Dr.Prabhuram Chaudhary) ने आज मंडला जिला चिकित्सालय(Mandla district Hospital) का निरीक्षण करते हुये स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने के निर्देश दिये। उन्होंने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में लापरवाही कतई बर्दाश्त नहीं की जायेगी। लापरवाही पाये जाने पर हर स्तर पर जिम्मेदारी निर्धारित की जायेगी।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. चौधरी ने कहा कि प्रत्येक मरीज को समुचित उपचार प्रदान किया जाये। मरीजों को अनावश्यक रूप से रेफर न करें। मेटरनिटी वार्ड के निरीक्षण के दौरान स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. प्रभुराम चौधरी ने प्रसूतिओं को मिलने वाली सुविधाओं के संबंध में जानकारी प्राप्त की। उन्होंने संस्थागत प्रसव को प्रोत्साहित करने के निर्देश दिये।

गहन शिशु चिकित्सा कक्ष के निरीक्षण के दौरान उन्होंने अभिलेखों का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने कहा कि नवजात बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य का सतत् फालोअप लिया जाये। जिला चिकित्सालय के विभिन्न वार्डों का निरीक्षण किया और मरीज तथा उनकी परिजनों से उपचार एवं दवाईयों की उपलब्धता आदि के संबंध में चर्चा की। उन्होंने चिकित्सालय की पैथालॉजी का निरीक्षण किया।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. चौधरी ने पैथालॉजी में उपकरण एवं मशीनों का समुचित रखरखाव करने और कहा कि कोई भी मशीन बंद नहीं होनी चाहिये। उन्होंने स्टोर के अभिलेख का अवलोकन करते हुये दवाईयों की सतत् उपलब्धता बनाये रखने के निर्देश दिये। स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. चौधरी ने सोनोग्राफी कक्ष, एक्स-रे कक्ष एवं कोविड वार्ड का भी अवलोकन किया। उन्होंने निर्देशित किया कि स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं के विस्तार के लिये समुचित प्रस्ताव तैयार करें।

1,000 avail benefits from first day after the launch of ‘Modicare’

Around one lakh people witnessed the launch of a unique healthcare scheme launched by our Prime Minister. In less than one day, more than 1,000 patients across the country have availed the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). The Maximum cases were reported from Chhattisgarh and Haryana, followed by Jharkhand, Assam and Madhya Pradesh.

Addressing a gathering of over one lakh people at Prabhat Tara Ground, Modi added that the scheme was being launched with an intention to make premium health facilities available to each and every person in the country.

The inauguration of the country’s largest health insurance scheme comes a month after a pilot programme was announced by the Prime Minister in his Independence Day address. The announcement was made in the Union Budget of 2018.

Punam Mahato became the first beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) in Jharkhand after giving birth to a baby girl at a hospital in Jamshedpur.

When we started the pilot of AB-PMJAY in Haryana, the first baby was also a girl named Karishma. We named her Ayushman Devi, inspired by the scheme’s name. This is really heartening that the first baby, after the formal launch of the scheme, is also a girl. Our government is promoting the girl child in a big way and this event is in tune with that.

The scheme provides a cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year, for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation through a network of Empanelled Health Care Providers (EHCP). The EHCP network gives cashless and paperless access to services for the beneficiaries at both public and private hospitals. The services includes 1,350 procedures covering pre- and post-hospitalization, diagnostics and medicines.

In addition to the insurance plan, under Ayushman Bharat, the government also aims to open 1.5 lakh health and wellness centres by 2022, which would be equipped to treat diseases including blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer.

Our Opinion

PMJAY is a nice scheme with minor flaws but with good intentions. The urgency to run pilot project and exaggerated advertisement can mean only one thing – Elections. We all know that 2019 Lok Sabha elections are approaching and the ruling party wants to alter its image. There are even reports of advertisements of PMJAY during movie intervals. Don’t you think there is too much advertisement of just a pilot project?

India reveals ‘world’s largest’ public healthcare scheme

Union Budget 2018 brought some cheer on the face of poor. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced health insurance scheme which will cover around 100 million poor and vulnerable Indians.

Public Healthcare

It’s thought to be one of the largest such schemes in the world, and is likely to be popular with rural voters. India presently spends a little over 1% of its GDP on public healthcare. It is one of the lowest in the world.

Healthcare expenses are a major cause of impoverishment of working families in India. The low spending nature of Indian government led public hospitals to appalling condition.

Since the condition of government hospital is in doldrums, people are forced to seek private healthcare facilities. Due to this, today nearly 70 per cent of national health spending comes out of pocket from patients and their families. Many people take loan from moneylenders, who provide quick cash at high interest rates.

The healthcare scheme

Arun Jaitley presented the final budget of the current term. Since elections in around 8 states are approaching, pressure mounted on him to present a lucrative budget. Due to this, he also pumped huge amount of money in health, education, social security and rural infrastructure sectors.

He said the flagship health insurance scheme would cover more than 100 million poor families and provide 500,000 rupees in medical coverage for each family annually.

“This will be the world’s largest government-funded healthcare programme,” Mr. Jaitley told parliament in his speech.

“The government is steadily but surely progressing towards a goal of universal health coverage.”

Is This Enough?

Although it is laudable to give medical coverage to the poor, it is still in planning stage. A lot of things are not clear. Framework to gather money for the scheme needs explaination. No decision made to check the monopoly of the private hospitals. It is also not clear that how government will protect poor from the exploitation from the private hospitals. Just providing insurance and not revamping public healthcare facilities is obviously not enough.
