The mastermind behind Pulwama attack is now dead

Giving the open charge to army has worked. They gunned down the mastermind behind the Pulwama attack. Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, the mastermind behind the dreadful Pulwama attack, was among the three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed in the encounter, which claimed the lives of four army personnel, including a major.

After receiving the orders to act freely, India armed forces intensified its operations to hunt down terrorists after the Pulwama IED attack on February 14.

Kamran alias Ghazi Rasheed was encountered by the Indian Army along with two other terrorists. A joint team of 55 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF, and Special Operation Group launched a cordon and search operation early on Monday, after receiving inputs on terrorists taking refuge in the area.

The 32-year-old, a Pakistani national, was a close and trusted aide of JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar. He was an Afghan war veteran and an IED specialist and joined the terror group in 2008. Reportedly, Ghazi had trained Pulwama suicide bomber Adil Dar and was commanding all Jaish operations in India. Ghazi was trained by the Taliban in Afghanistan and would train Jaish recruits in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

One AK-47 rifle and one pistol were recovered from the militants at the encounter site. Meanwhile, Pakistan violated ceasefire in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night. A cordon and search operation by the security forces was also started in Krawora village of the Shopian district.

Though this won’t bring back our martyred soldiers but would at least bring some justice to their souls.

To battle outside, let’s end the one we’re seeing within: Gurjar reservation & Pulwama attacks

The nation has been drenched in mourning due to Pulwama attack. They are posting messages, planning candle walks, trying to collect funds for the family of the martyrs, etc. A fire has ignited in the hearts of us, the citizens of India, except few.

It’s the more than a week since Gurjar sat on the railway tracks.(source: https://www.amarujala.com/india-news/reservation-movement-in-rajasthan-continues-seventh-day-gujjar-leaders-to-take-decision-till-evening) Their demand is to get reservations. The state government kept it’s promise and gave them 5% reservation. Still they are immovable. The bill will take its own time to be approved the parliament as the total reservation is going to be more than 50% in Rajasthan. They demand it’s completion within 2 days.

We ‘Citizens of India’ can’t progress if we keep our individual insignificant matters ahead of the nation’s cause. Everyone conquered India just because of this factor. Gurjar are not new in this case. Keeping community before nation is their way of living.

We are already under the effects of terrorism. They are the enemies of the nation. What about the Gurjar who are not mourning and disrupting the lifeline of the nation? Who gave them the right to keep their community ahead of the nation’s cause? No matter how intense their situation is, it should not be greater than the Nation’s cause. They should stop their movement and let the government do its job.

We all know that united we stand and divide we fall. Right now, we have more important things to focus rather than deal with the reservation. Meanwhile, we appeal them to be sensitive and to keep the nation ahead of your community’s interest. Remember, reservations will exist only when we live.

Pulwama attack: 44 soldiers martyred on the day of love

On valentine’s day, like every normal being, everyone expects peace and love except few animals in human skins. 44 of our brave soldiers lost their lives in Pulwama district due to a coward terrorist strike. It is the biggest terrorist attack after Uri. India responded bravely after Uri incident with surgical strike to avenge the deaths of its soldiers.

The terror strike took place when an explosive-laden vehicle crashed into CRPF convoy. There were 70 vehicles in the convoy and one of the vehicles came under attack. Two buses were targeted in an high-intensity IED blast. CRPF DG RR Bhatnagar has informed that there were 2500 personnel in the convoy. “Senior officers are currently at the spot, the investigation is underway. Injured being taken care of,” Bhatnagar told ANI.

The bus in which security personnel were travelling was blown up by an improvised explosive device explosion on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Awantipora. The blast was followed by gunshots by terrorists. The attack happened in Goripora area of Awantipora in district Pulwama.

Terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for the attack. India appeals countries to list Masood Azhar a designated terrorist. Cabinet Committee on Security to meet tomorrow. Meanwhile, Indian government also removed Pakistan’s tag of the Most Favoured Nation (MFN).

Life gone can never be returned. Let’s mourn for the martyrs and make the terrorist and terrorist supporting nations pay for their acts.

Honesty has become so scarce that it has to be rewarded to encourage. Honesty in Indians tends to decrease when they encounter a foreigner. They charge foreigners almost 5 times than the normal price of any good. Indians are notorious for these trickeries. Among them, there resides a barber in Ahmedabad who charged its normal fee despite knowing the ethnicity. This impressed the Norwegian and he rewarded him with $400 to improve his financial condition.

Norwegian YouTuber Harald Baldr, who is popular for his travel vlogs, is currently touring India. In the now-viral video, Harald walks up to “street-salon” hairdresser and asks him for a quick trim – while taking his permission to film the haircut for his YouTube channel.

“As soon as it’s over, I’m gonna try and grab someone around here that speaks English. I’m very curious to know how this business – how it’s working. How many customers he has per day. And I would like to hear if he has to pay anyone to be on the pavement for the salon,” the YouTuber, seated on a chair, says during his haircut. The Indian hairdresser, too, pulls out his smartphone out of curiosity and records the unique experience. “It’s pretty good actually,” Harald reviews his haircut and the two promptly snap a few selfies together.

“20, right?” Harald asks the hairdresser and hands him a twenty rupee note. Expecting to be charged more, Harald expresses his astonishment. “That was pure honesty. He told me straight up it was 20. He could have asked for a hundred and I wouldn’t have flinched,” he says and pulls out $400 — that converts to Rs 28,000 from his pocket to give it to the hairdresser before adding, “I reckon this is the best candidate found on my travel so far an extra reward.”

He then takes help from an English-speaking local to explain to the hairdresser that the donation he made was for him to buy new equipment and taking care of his family. This is not the first time Herald donated the money in India. Recently, he donated $1000 to a government school in Gujarat and had mid-day meal with the students.

Oceans will be bluer and greener in color in 2100, thanks to climate change

Climate change is not only increasing the sea level but will also change the color of the ocean by 2100. A new study by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) found the relation between color and climate change. The color won’t be extremely dramatic and hardly noticeable by the human eye but the change is real.

The warming planet is changing the distribution of phytoplankton across the world’s oceans. It’s well-known that seasonal changes regularly change colors, bit warmer oceans may permanently alter the mosaic of blues and greens as seen from space. In subtropical regions, warm waters will get even warmer, driving out phytoplankton populations and even marine life, in general. In water closer to poles, the warming will make the water appear greener while in subtropical regions, it will appear bluer.

“These microscopic organisms live in the water and are the base of the marine food chain,” said Stephanie Dutkiewicz, a marine ecologist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the leader of the study, published Feb. 4 in the journal Nature Communications. “By being in the water, they change the color that we see by eye. If there are less of them in it, the water will be slightly bluer.”

Phytoplanktons are very small plants residing in the water bodies. They provide food for the fishes and other sea animals. They are the food chain initiator in the water bodies. Scientists have found that climate change will likely alter the types of phytoplankton that abound in future oceans.

For their research, Dutkiewicz and her colleagues developed a computer model that simulated changes in the world’s climate from 1860 through 2100. The model assumed that global temperatures would rise by 3 degrees Celsius — which is what most scientists think will happen if no effort is made to curb greenhouse gas emissions. The simulations, which take about three weeks to run on a large array of computers, revealed we can expect our oceans to look a little different in the future.

Climate change is real though many of our leaders don’t want to believe it. This effect of the color change is a little trivial but the main issue is the decline in the population of phytoplankton. They initiate the marine food chain and without them, the sea animals would die. Let’s hope we save that the conservative estimation of 3 degrees Celsius rise doesn’t become the reality.

Modi finding cover for his debacles in blaming Congress

Recently, our Prime Minister gave his one of the last speeches of his tenure. It was a good speech, technically, but the content was the same old political jibes and slurs. Modi’s speech was filled with satires on Congress and the latest ‘United Opposition Alliance’. He even compared his 55 months governance with 55 years of Congress government.

Modi was replying to the debate on the motion of thanks to President Ram Nath Kovind’s address to the Parliament. He used his hour-long speech to cover points about the first time voters, middle class, traders, the poor, farmers, successes, initiatives, and above all, satires on Congress.

The Opposition wanted answers on key national issues like unemployment, farm crisis, and the Rafael fighter jet deal. The answers by Modi only involved mockery and digging out the buried cases in the past. He started with the changed definition of BC as ‘Before Congress’ and AD as ‘After Dynasty’. BC is the time where nothing happened and AD is the period where everything happened. Thus, comparing the Congress rule of more than half-century to his tenure of 5 years. The points which were put forward by him, like sanitation coverage, LPG connections, electrification, etc., are debatable. Lowering the standards and inflating the numbers did exaggerate the results but the ground reality hasn’t changed.

On misusing the Constitutional Institutions, Modi again compared his reign with that of Congress’. He even said that they manipulated institutions several times for their benefits. So, bending the Institutions has become a competition. What our Prime Minister should understand is that wrong is wrong and it should not depend on the frequency. It is like justifying the robbery in terms of money gained.

Modiji even called the leaders of the ‘United Opposition Alliance’ as the traitors as they had worked with Vajpayee and with him in the past. He even tagged them as ‘maha-milavat’ government. Thus, a government with no original or pure substance. He even pointed out the coalition government of UPA was ineffective. He later completed this point by saying that they are not going to be elected to the Parliament.

On Rafale jet deal, Modi said that Congress didn’t want the Air Force to become stronger and thus, they are opposing the government. He also said that Congress party is astonished as this is the first time when a defense deal is completed without any corruption. As if setting up a JPC means relinquishing the strength of the armed forces.

Modi’s speech was quite predictable. The key ingredients of every Modi-speech are satires on Congress, digging up their past, dwarfing the previous governments’ achievements, and thus, confusing from the main question. In this speech, the questions were unemployment, rural distress, Rafale Jet deal, and the failure of Make in India. In our PM’s answer, among these points, which points did he cover? He ducked 3 out of 4 points and claimed that other parties didn’t want Air Force to become stronger. Only turns and twists with no displacements, Modiji’s speech didn’t give the final outcome.

Alirajpur – The poorest district in Madhya Pradesh and in India

When we topic of development comes up, the governments keep showing the pictures of bustling cities, ‘clean’ industrial towns and some parts of villages where the ray of development has reached. The governments change but the trend remains the same. The neglected districts like Siddharth Nagar (Read here: The story of neglected birthplace of Gautam Buddha, Siddharth Nagar) keep praying for a slight recognition from the government. Alirajpur is one of those neglected districts.

Alirajpur is notorious for being the poorest district in India with 76.5% people living below poverty line. Based on the Multidimensional Poverty Index 2018 data, Madhya Pradesh is the 4th poorest state in India. Alirajpur was a princely state in the Malwa region before India’s independence. The economy of Alirajpur is predominantly dependent on Agriculture, the cash crop being mangoes. Recently, it was in the limelight for a 30K bribery case. The Lokayukta police Wednesday caught an employee of the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Department in Alirajpur district allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.

Alirajpur fulfills all the duties of a democratic district. This state election saw a rise of more than 4% in voting and reached more than 60%. This turnout was much higher than the average. Congress’ Mukesh Rawat won the seat by a margin of about 22000 votes.

Despite fulfilling all the responsibilities of a democratic district, why is it the poorest district? Why did the development didn’t reach the lowest strata of society? Madhya Pradesh had a stable government of BJP since 2005. Besides, BJP is in power in the center. Then, why was this district neglected? Whatever the case might be, people haven’t lost their hope. They still vote and this time, they voted for Congress. Let’s see if Congress becomes a savior for the people of Alirajpur or it becomes a BJP 2.0 version. Only time will tell.

The government at center and state have fought several elections, promising the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. The magnitude of concern showed for the birth-place of Lord Rama is inversely proportional to that of the birth-place of Lord Buddha. Sidharth Nagar is the birth-place of Lord Buddha and it is struggling for attention from the government.

Sidharth Nagar is a district in Uttar Pradesh. It is near the India-Nepal border. It is known for the ruins of Shakya Janapada is one of the most backward districts in India. This is the center of trafficking scams as the district shares its border with Nepal. Siddharth Nagar is also near to the city of “The CM” – Gorakhpur. It has a high rural population with agriculture being the source of bread for the families.

Siddharth Nagar is completely opposite to what the Siddhartha or Lord Buddha desired. Its citizens are living in trenches of poverty. The civic amenities are almost dysfunctional in the city. Black-outs are quite frequent in the city despite claims of electrification by our Prime Minister. Recently, two AK-47 rifles went missing from near the India-Nepal border. Siddharth Nagar is always in the headlines due to wrong reasons only.

Siddharth Nagar – Deflating Government’s claims

Despite the presence of BJP governments in the center and state, the development didn’t reach Siddharth Nagar. It deflates all the claims of Modi and Yogi governments. The frequent blackouts deflate the scheme of 100% electrification claim of the government. The uncontrolled trafficking of weapons and people gives a glimpse of law and order in the district. Siddharth Nagar also failed miserably in civic amenities. According to a story done by Amar Ujala, there are streets which sink in darkness post dust due to unavailability of street lights. Public toilets are only on paper with open defecation a dark reality. Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan hasn’t reached Siddharth Nagar yet. In spite of these flaws, the government is focussing on cattle safety as it is evident in the instructions given by the Deputy of District Magistrate.

Buddhists are not in high numbers and cannot be categorized as a vote-bank. Due to this, the government is treating the birth-place of their Lord Buddha in such a way. No promise ever made for the development of Siddharth Nagar. It could become one of the major tourist attraction due to its historical significance. Due to negligence that potential seems a lost cause. The citizens of Siddharth Nagar have lost all hopes with the government and now they just want them to provide basic amenities. Even for that too, cows have become the priority.
