Mahagathbandhan lasted for Lok Sabha Elections only as BSP and SP parted ways

Stable alliances in Indian politics are myths. The fact was soon discovered after a disastrous performance by BSP and SP in Lol Sabha elections. They are now separate, like they were in the past.

After weeks of blaming SP for the failure in Lok Sabha elections, , BSP supremo Mayawati on Monday announced that her party will contest all elections alone in future.

She tweeted, “The behaviour of the SP after the Lok Sabha general elections compels the BSP to think whether it will be possible to defeat the BJP further. That is not possible. So in the interest of the party and the movement, the BSP will now fight all the major elections on its own.”

“Everyone is aware that forgetting everything of the past, as well as anti-BSP and anti-Dalit decisions such as reservation in promotions and bad law and order during the SP rule in 2012-2017, the BSP adhered to the ‘gathbandhan dharma’ with the Samajwadi Party in the interest of the country,” she tweeted in Hindi.

Mayawati’s statement comes a day after the BSP reviewed its performance in the Lok Sabha polls and its alliance with the Akhilesh Yadav-led party. The BSP, which had contested the election in alliance with the SP and Ajit Singh’s Rashtriya Lok Dal, had won 10 seats and the SP, just five.

Soon after she announced her decision, SP national general secretary Ramashankar Vidyarthi told journalists in Balia that Mayawati was speaking against the SP in haste because of the Dalit support for the SP and Akhilesh.

“She is weakening the fight for social justice,” he said, adding that Dalit society is getting connected with the SP and Akhilesh in a big way. “People know about the reality about what the ‘malkin’ of the alliance has done.”

Earlier in June, Mayawati had announced her decision for the BSP to go solo in the bypolls to 11 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. She had then said that the split would not be permanent if Akhilesh got his act together. Her statement also comes weeks after she said Akhilesh had asked her to not give tickets to Muslims as it would result in religious polarisation.

BSP-SP alliance agree on 50-50 in UP, Blocks the entry for Congress

The BSP-SP alliance hammer the final nail in the coffin of Congress in UP as they finalize on seat proportion. They will contest on 38-38 seats each out of 80 Lok Sabha seats.

Their only concession for the Congress is to spare the two seats — Amethi, which is Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s constituency, and Sonia Gandhi’s seat Raebareli. Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav announced they were leaving two seats for “other parties” but didn’t elaborate.

On this grand alliance, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it would bring anarchy, corruption and political instability in the state.

“This is a coalition of casteist, corrupt and opportunistic mindset that doesn’t want development and good governance. Public knows everything and this unholy alliance will be given a perfect answer,” says Yogi Adityanath.

BSP-SP rivalry needs no mention. Nearly 25 years ago, the Samajwadi Party, then led by Akhilesh Yadav’s father Mulayam Singh, and the BSP had an acrimonious falling out after their shaky coalition government in Uttar Pradesh crashed. The two parties parted as sworn enemies in 1995 after Samajwadi workers roughed up Mayawati at a guest house in Lucknow for pulling out of their coalition government.

“For the sake of the nation, we decided to rise above the Lucknow guest house incident and again come together,” Mayawati stressed, a clarification aimed at PM Modi, who had at a recent rally in Agra scorned her for “forgetting” that episode while allying with the Samajwadi Party.

Akhilesh Yadav added emphatically: “I want to tell all my workers, any insult to Mayawatiji is a personal insult to me.”

The syrupy new found love among ‘bua-bhatija’ has only one motive – keeping BJP at bay. Since UP alone accounts for 80 seats, every party knows that it is the ‘king-maker’ state. Performing well in UP clears the road to form the majority. Both BSP and SP knows that tackling BJP individually would be quite dangerous. So, they are uniting their forces and giving BJP a run for their money. Let’s see if this ‘mahagathbandhan’ is ductile or brittle and how it would fare after the 2019 polls.

Ready to Fight Alone says Congress after SP-BSP alliance Lok Sabha Polls

The idea of United Opposition Front has taken its last breathe as SP-BSP snub Congress. Once bitter rivals and now allies in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party boss Mayawati met in Delhi on Friday to discuss a mahagathbandhan or grand alliance to take on the BJP in the heartland state.

The Grand Alliance was on the cards since the 2018 by-polls in UP. (Read more: The downfall of BJP lies in ideas up-bringing communal-ism. :Akhilesh and Bypoll Results: A setback to saffron Juggernaut) Once SP and BSP were bitter rivals. It changed after BJP annihilated these stalwarts completely in the 2014 Lok Sabha Polls as well as Assembly Polls. It was a wake-up call for these regional powerhouses and they responded well by forming a Grand-Alliance to keep BJP at bay.

The alliance, say sources, will have room for smaller parties. The final decision on seat-sharing will be taken after January 15, sources said, adding Chaudhary Ajit Singh’s Rashtriya Lok Dal or RLD is likely to get three seats in the grand alliance.

Even though the Congress will be kept out of the coalition, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati do not intend to field any candidate in Amethi and Raebareli – the stronghold of the Gandhis, sources added.

Akhilesh Yadav had last week indicated at payback when his party’s only lawmaker in Madhya Pradesh did not make it to new Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s list of ministers. The Congress, he said, had gone back on its promise to do so, despite his party’s role in helping the Congress reach the majority mark.

“Thanks to the Congress, they did not make our vidhayak (legislator) a minister,” Akhilesh Yadav had told reporters last week. By doing so, the Congress had “cleared the path for Uttar Pradesh,” he had said.

2019 Polls is important for both these parties. The BJP and its allies had won 73 of the 80 seats in the last general elections in Uttar Pradesh. On the other side, BSP was wiped out in the 2014 Lok Sabha election and in the 2017 Assembly election, it won just 19 seats. It is evident that the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections will be a fight for survival for the BSP supremo and her party. SP will also suffer from the same fate if it doesn’t perform well.

मध्य प्रदेश समेत देश के पांच राज्यों में इस साल के अंत तक विधानसभा चुनाव होने हैं। चुनाव आयोग के द्वारा इस संबंध में आज अहम घोषणा की जा सकती है। EC शनिवार शाम तक मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान, छत्तीसगढ़, मिजोरम और तेलंगाना विधानसभा चुनाव की तारीखों की घोषणा कर सकता है। आपको बता दें कि मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, राजस्थान और मिजोरम में चुनाव होने तय हैं, जबकि तेलंगाना में चुनाव कराए जाने की संभावना है।

मध्य प्रदेश का चुनावी समीकरण

वर्तमान में बीजेपी शासित मध्य प्रदेश में कुल 231 विधानसभा सीटें है। इनमें से 230 सीटों पर ही चुनाव होते हैं और बाकी के एक सदस्य को नॉमिनेट किया जाता है।मध्य प्रदेश में बीजेपी के पास 166 सीटें हैं। वहीं कांग्रेस के पास 57 सीटें हैं और बीएसपी के पास 4 सीटें हैं। यहां की मुख्य लड़ाई बीजेपी और कांग्रेस के बीच है। वहीं बसपा का भी राज्य में अच्छा दबदबा है। इन तीनों मुख्य पार्टियों के अलावा इस बार के विधानसभा चुनाव में कई पार्टियां उतरने वाली हैं जिसमें सपा, गोंडवाना गणतंत्र पार्टी और जयस जैसी पार्टियां शामिल है। वहीं इस बार एससी\एसटी एक्ट और प्रमोशन में आरक्षण के खिलाफ सपाक्स की ‘अनारक्षित समाज पार्टी’ ने भी चुनाव लड़ने का ऐलान किया है।

राजस्थान का चुनावी समीकरण

राजस्थान में कुल 200 सीटें हैं। जिसमें सरकार 161 सीट पर काबिज है। इस में 160 सीट भाजपा के ही पास है और एक एनपीपी के पास है। विपक्ष के पास कुल 36 सीट हैं जिसमें कांग्रेस 25, बीएसपी 2 एनयूजेडपी 2 और निर्दलीय 7 सीट हैं। जबकि तीन सीट अभी खाली है। इस विस चुनाव में भी सीधे तौर पर बीजेपी और कांग्रेस के बीच मुकाबला है। जबकि इन दोनों के अलावा कई क्षेत्रीय पार्टियां भी अपनी किस्मत आजमाने जा रही है।

छत्तीसगढ़ का चुनावी समीकरण

छत्तीसगढ़ में कुल 90 विधानसभा सीटें हैं और एक नॉमिनेटेड सीट है। पिछले चुनाव यानि की 2013 के विस चुनाव परिणाम के मुताबिक बीजेपी के पास 49 सीट, कांग्रेस को 39, बीएसपी को 1 और अन्य को एक सीट मिली थी। यहां भी मुख्य रूप से लड़ाई बीजेपी और कांग्रेस के बीच की है। इन दोनों के अलावा कांग्रेस नेता और पूर्व में सीएम रह चुके अजीत जोगी ने जनता कांग्रेस-जोगी के नाम से पार्टी बनाई है और वे बीएसपी के साथ गठबंधन में चुनावी मैदान में उतर रहे हैं।

मिजोरम का चुनावी समीकरण

पूर्वोत्तर राज्य मिजोरम में कुल 40 विधानसभा सीटें हैं। 2013 के विधानसभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस की जीत हुई थी। कुल 40 में से 34 सीटों पर जीत कर यहां कांग्रेस की सरकार बनी थी। बाकी के सीटों में एमएनएफ को 5 और और एमपीसी को 1 सीट मिली थी। इस बार यहां जीत हासिल करने के लिए बीजेपी भी जोर लगा रही है।

तेलंगाना की चुनावी समीकरण

तेलंगाना में कुल 119 विधानसभा सीटें हैं। यहां पिछली बार 2014 में लोकसभा चुनाव के साथ ही यहां चुनाव कराए गए थे। उस दौरान केसीआर की पार्टी टीआरएस को 90 सीटें मिली थी। इसके अलावा कांग्रेस को 13, असदुद्दीन ओवैसी की पार्टी AIMIM को 7, बीजेपी को 5 और सीपीआईएम को 1 सीट मिली थी। इस बार भी इन्हीं पार्टियों के बीच मुकाबला है।

A little spice of caste-based politics by SP-BSP changed the flavor of the ‘Fascist’ politics by BJP. SP’s victory in the UP bypolls was not just about the support from BSP alone. Tactical moves made by Akhilesh in the past fortnight made the difference.

Ignore Congress and Form new Alliances

Akhilesh decided to maintain a safe distance from Congress to keep those party workers in good humor. The workers were unhappy over their alliance for the 2017 assembly polls. Since Congress showed no interest in renewing the pact, SP decided to go solo.

Small parties with hardly any presence throughout the state gave active support to SP. The only uniting motive was to defeat BJP. Then Akhilesh turned to those small parties which had strong hold on castes in the region of Gorakhpur and Phulpur.

Akhilesh teamed up with the Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal (NISHAD) Party and Peace Party. He then fielded Pravin Nishad from Gorakhpur. Pravin is the son of NISHAD chief Sanjay Nishad. The move proved a masterstroke as the Nishad community is the largest sub-caste of OBC in the constituency, comprising 3.5 lakh or roughly 17% of the total electorate.

In Phulpur, the party fielded Nagendra Pratap Singh Patel to focus on the sizeable chunk of Patels in the region.

Support from BSP

It was not for the nothing that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav went personally to pay his respects to ‘buaji’ for her support to Samajwadi candidates in Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha bypolls.

Due to the choice of candidates and being burned by the same ambition, BSP actively supported SP quite easily. This served two purposes for BSP. First, making its presence felt and second, not relinquishing its strong-hold on lower castes.

Dalits in Uttar Pradesh, who traditionally supported Mayawati, voted in big numbers for Modi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, only to find his Hindutva brigade going berserk against them. Dozens of cases of violence against Dalits at the hands of upper castes continue to be reported. Thus, Dalits turned against the BJP.

Is this the arrival of wind of change in India?

It is quite a tradition that the party with the most seats in UP serves as the ‘Kingmaker’ in Indian politics. Though its too early to say but still it is clear that now Fascist politics by BJP is not enough. The defeat might end the euphoria which surrounded BJP’s office after winning in North-East. With just 273 seats in the Lok Sabha,1 clear of the majority, there are chances of this end to come sooner.

सर्वे से हुआ खुलासा, सपा के कलह से बड़ी अखिलेश यादव की ‘लोकप्रियता’!

Newbuzzindia: सपा का कलह, सपाइयों के बीच झड़प, सपा के नेताओं की टक्कर और सपा का बिखरने तक पहुँचना, इन बातों से कोई भी अंजान नही है। उत्तरप्रदेश ही नही देश के हर राज्य और राज्य का हर व्यक्ति सपा के इस गृह कलह से भलीभांति परिचित है। सपा में इतना कुछ हुआ और आखिरकार मामला शांत हो गया। पर क्या आपने सोचा है कि इन सब से फायदा किसको हुआ ? कहा जा रहा था कि सपा में चल रहे इस बवाल से राजनीति में सपा की पकड़ ढीली पड़ जाएगी और सपा का अस्तित्व तक खतरें में पड़ जाएगा। पर ऐसा कुछ भी नही हुआ, इतना सब कुछ हो गया और इसका फायदा भी मिला।

सपा के कलह और अंतर्द्वंद से जिस व्यक्ति को फायदा हुआ है, वह है उत्तरप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ! एक सर्वे से खुलासा हुआ है कि सपा में चल रहे बवाल से अखिलेश यादव को अधिक लोग जानने लगे है। उनके चर्चे आम लोगों तक पहुचें है और इसी के चलते उनकी लोकप्रियता में इजाफा भी हुआ है।

यह सर्वे सी-वोटर की तरफ से किया गया था जिसमे सितम्बर और अक्टूबर के आंकड़े जारी किये गए है। जो की आम लोगों तक जाकर इकट्ठा किये गए है। सर्वे के मुताबिक सितंबर अखिलेश को पसंद करने वालों की संख्या 77.1 फीसदी थी, तो अक्तूबर में 83.1 फीसदी लोगों ने अखिलेश को पसंद किया। बतौर मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश को 66.7 फीसदी लोगों ने पसंद किया। वहीं, उन्हें अक्टूबर मुख्यमंत्री के तौर पसंद करने वालों की आंकड़ा 75.7 फीसदी रहा।

वहीँ सर्वें से चौकाने वाला खुलासा भी हुआ है। सपा के अंतर्द्वंद से सपा के महानायक मुलायम सिंफह यादव की छवि को खासा नुकसान हुआ है। उत्तरप्रदेश में उनके चाहने वालों की संख्या में गिरावट देखी गयी है। मुलायम सिंह यादव को मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में देखने वालों को संख्या पहले 19.1 फीसदी थी जो अब मात्र 14.9 फीसदी रह गयी है।

Newbuzzindia: राजनीति में रहना है तो चर्चाओं में रहना होगा और चर्चाओं में रहना है तो कुछ ना कुछ अलग करना होगा। ऐसा ही कुछ करते रहते है आजम खान। समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता और उत्तरप्रदेश के कैबिनेट मंत्री आजम खान हमेशा से ही विवादित बयान देने के लिए जाने जाते है। इन्हें कट्टर मुस्लिम समर्थक नेता के रूप में भी देखा जाता है। ये हमेशा से ही हिन्दू समर्थक नेताओं को निशाने बनाते या रहे है।

इस बार आजम खान के निशाने पर उत्तरप्रदेश के कद्दावर नेता और भाजपा के सांसद योगी आदित्यनाथ आये है। आजम खान ने आदित्यनाथ को लेकर विवादित बयान दिया है। आजम खान ने कहा कि ‘योगी शादी करें और अपनी मर्दानगी साबित करें।’ आजम खान ने यह बयान उनसे पूछे एक सवाल में दिया है जिसमे उनसे पूछा गया था कि
‘क्या आप योगी आदित्यनाथ के गढ़ में है और प्यार-मोहब्बत से क्या उनसे तल्ख रिश्तों को खत्म करेंगे?’

आपको बता दे की इससे पहले आजम खान ने साक्षी महाराज को लेकर भी एक विवादित बयान दिया जिसमें उन्होंने एक सवाल के जवाब में कहा था कि ‘बलात्कारी की बात मत करें। जो आदमी पहले से ही बलात्कार के मामले में आरोपी है तो उसकी मैं क्या बात करूं।’

राहुल ने मायावती-मुलायम को लिया आड़े हाथ, कहा दोनों का रिमोट है मोदी के हाथ !

Newbuzzindia: उत्तरप्रदेश में जल्द ही चुनाव होने को है और इसका असर जमीनी स्तर पर दिखने लगा है। जहाँ एक तरफ यूपी सरकार में घरेलु खलबली मची हुई है, वहीँ दूसरे राजनैतिक दल उन्हें घेरे हुए है। कांग्रेस भी इस खलबली का फायदा उठाने में लगी हुई है तो वहीँ भाजपा को भी आड़े हाथों ले रही है।

कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने सपा सुप्रीमों मुलायम सिंह और बसपा सुप्रीमों मायावती को सीधा निशाना लगाते हुए कहा कि ‘मुलायम सिंह और मायावती,नरेंद्र मोदी के खिलाफ एक शब्द नहीं बोल सकते, क्योंकि इनका रिमोट कंट्रोल CBI और मोदीजी के पास है!’

यूपी में 2017 में विधानसभा चुनाव होने को है। ऐसे में ये देखना ख़ास होगा की चुनाव में इस बयानबाजी का लय फायदा मिलता है और किसे फायदा मिलेगा …!!

यूपी में अगले साल होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव के चलते सियासी गर्मी काफी बढ़ी हुई है। सपा में कौमी एकता दल के कुछ घंटे के लिए हुए विलय के बाद अफजल अंसारी ने मुख्‍यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव पर जबरदस्त हमला बोला है। उन्होंने कहा कि अखिलेश यादव अपनी नाकामियों का छिपाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। प्रदेश में जनता के पैसे की लूट हो रही है जिसका हिसाब जनता आगामी चुनाव में लेगी।

अफजाल अंसारी ने मुलायम और अखि‍लेश पर एक साथ निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि मुलायम को न तो अखि‍लेश के सिद्धां‍तों की परवाह है और न ही अखि‍लेश को अपने पिता के निर्णयों का सम्मान करने की ही फिक्र है। पूर्वांचल में सपा की औकात दिखा दूंगा।

इतना ही नहीं कल तक सपा का गुणगान करने वाले अफजाल अंसारी ने सपा पर धोखा देने का आरोप लगाया है साथ ही यह भी कहा कि चुनाव से पहले यूपी में दंगा करवाने की तैयारी चल रही है। प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री अखि‍लेश यादव पर जमकर हमला बोला उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में अपराधी बेलगाम घूम रहे हैं लेकिन सीएम हजारों-करोड़ों खर्च करके सिर्फ अपनी इमेज चमकाने में लगे हैं।

अफजाल ने आगे कहा कि कौमी एकता दल के सपा में विलय की शुरुआत पूर्व मंत्री अंबिका चौधरी ने की और उसे आगे बढ़ाया बलराम यादव ने। 10 जून को हमारी मीटिंग शि‍वपाल यादव और 11 जून को हमारी मीटिंग नेताजी मुलायम सिंह यादव से हुई। नेताजी ने कहा कि आप अपने दल का विलय सपा में कर दीजिए।

ऐसे में ये भी सवाल उठता है कि क्या जिस राजनीतिक दल की वो प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में इतनी बुराई कर रहे हैं, जिसपर गुंडाराज फ़ैलाने का आरोप लगा रहे हैं तो 3 दिन पहले वो कैसे इसी दल में विलय के लिए बेताब थें। खैर जो भी होगा उत्तर प्रदेश चुनाव में बढ़ते इस गर्मी में कौन जलता है और कौन अपने किले को मज़बूत करता है देखने लायक होगा।

कैराना मामले पर योगी आदित्यनाथ ने उगला ज़हर, कहा ’60 फीसदी आबादी हुई है कम।’
