Bhopal: The continuous surge in covid 19 cases has led extension of corona curfew in the district till May 24. The district collector of Bhopal Avinash Lavania issued the order on Sunday in this regard.
The Corona curfew was imposed in Bhopal since April and now it has been extended in order to stop spread of corona pandemic. According to the order issued by the Bhopal collector, the corona curfew is extended in the areas under the Bhopal Municipal Corporation and Berasia town till 6 am on May 24.
The movement of vehicles for essential services will be allowed. People engaged in vaccination drive or going for vaccination and other medical emergencies will be allowed.
One month has been passed since corona curfew was declared but the positivity rate remained at 20%. As of Saturday, Bhopal’s COVID-19 caseload stood at 1,14,848 while the death toll stood at 899.
